about us
public
Welcome to CAPES, the Chicago Area Participatory Economics Society. There are links below and there'll be more of them.
The best summary of what we aim to do is here. For how we do it, you'll find meeting and event announcements in the upper left hand box on this page. Click "more" at the bottom of that box find info on more events past and future, and propose new ones by coming to our monthly meetings (2nd Wednesday each month) or the announced meetings of our many working groups. There's more on this webpage, and for more information about Parecon itself there's everything from recorded speeches to entire online books at Zmag's parecon.org site.
