CAPES in Milwaukee, and Solidarity Poker
newsletter
We have two CAPES-related announcements to share.
(1) CAPES will be giving a presentation about participatory economics at the 2006 Midwest Social Forum in Milwaukee.
The Midwest Social Forum lasts from July 6-9, 2006. The CAPES presentation will be on Sunday, July 9, from 10:45am to 12:15pm.
More information about the Forum, including other presentations and how to attend, is online here:
http://www.mwsocialforum.org/
(2) The CAPES Gaming Group has a new card game to explore. The game, based on the participatory planning process in Parecon, is called Solidarity Poker, and the rules of the game are online here:
http://blog.zmag.org/node/2596
If you'd like to take part in a meeting of the CAPES Gaming Group, where we can explore the game and discuss details about further game-related matters (perhaps start organizing a future Solidarity Poker night), email msszczep@uchicago.edu to learn more.
Thanks.
