Revision of Parecon co-inventor Michael Albert in Chicago this weekend from Thu, 08/03/2006 - 9:18pm

Michael Albert, an organizer with Z Magazine and ZNet, and one of the co-inventors of participatory economics, will be in Chicago this weekend at the first national convention of the new SDS (Students for a Democratic Society), to be held at the University of Chicago. More details about the conference and about the new SDS is here:

Michael is scheduled to speak at the main plenary on Saturday, August 5, from 2pm to 3:45pm at Ida Noyes Hall on the University of Chicago campus (1212 East 59th Street).
Michael is also scheduled to hold a conference workshop about
participatory economics with members of CAPES on Sunday, August 6, from 4pm to 6pm. The exact location on campus is yet to be determined, but is slated for either Ida Noyes Hall or Cobb Hall (5811 S. Ellis Avenue).
